The Industrial BID became the focal point for information regarding the City’s efforts to combat an outbreak of typhus in October.  The BID hosted meetings for information not only to our stakeholders but to the wider DTLA community.  We have continued hosting meetings every other week with City and County officials on their cleaning and rodent eradication efforts throughout the area.  The City delivered 50 additional trash cans in our BID area.  These are emptied twice daily by City Sanitation personnel.  Media reports on the outbreak, as well as on the overall volume of trash in the streets, were constant throughout the quarter.
