The Industrial District welcomed visitors from throughout the region during CicLAvia’s Heart of the City ride on Sunday, October 9. Seven miles of streets between Echo Park and Boyle Heights were car-free for one day so that cyclists could enjoy an uninterrupted ride, with the special treat of experiencing the new 6th St. bridge. Thousands made their way on Central Ave. between Little Tokyo and 6th Street. And the historic LA Cold Storage facility became a very popular stop along the way. LACS contributed to the festival atmosphere by hosting an ice cream truck on their property. BID maintenance and public safety teams were visible along the route making sure our district looked its best.
