14th District Councilmember Kevin de Leon presented Industrial BID director Estela Lopez with a City Certificate of Commendation during Women’s History Month for her trailblazing work at the BID and throughout her career. 2023 marks Lopez’ 20th year as our BID’s executive director. She was responsible for establishing Los Angeles’ first BID in 1994. Her prior work included more than a dozen years as a broadcast news professional, and being the first Latinx executive producer of a local news broadcast in Los Angeles.
