Trash Removal
In total, 24,618 bags of trash were removed in Q3 2020, weighing 369 tons:
Pressure Wash Requests
The BID provides pressure washing services now upon request, to mitigate public health hazards from bodily fluids and waste on sidewalks and in business doorways.
In Q3 2020, the BID received a total of 928 pressure wash requests– a 20% over the amount of pressure wash requests the BID received during Q2 2020. This can certainly be attributed to the pandemic-related decrease in city cleaning services and increase in homeless populations.
Graffiti Removal Requests
Also during Q2 2020, the BID responded to 2,376 graffiti removal requests. This represents a 45% increase over the amount of graffiti removed in the previous quarter in Q2 2020. As with the pressure wash requests, this can be attributed to the decrease in city cleaning services and increase in homeless populations over this period of time.
Public Safety Service Requests
The BID responded to 707 public safety service requests during Q3 2020– a 42% increase over the previous quarter.
