The BID once again trimmed trees throughout our district, ranging from large and robust ficus to the more delicate species found especially on some of our smaller streets. We do this every other year to maintain healthy but manageable canopies, and to ensure the branches do not interfere with power lines. The only exception this year was San Pedro Street because of City Covid restrictions that prohibit moving homeless encampments. Tree trimming cannot be done safely unless the area is clear of any persons or vehicles.
